Need some advice for Debris-slicing against Monsoon!
Heyo, I recently started to try and get full S in Revengeance.
It's been more or less smooth sailing (the game is incredibly easier when you can go Ripper mode earlier, also infinite wig), and as I expected, Monsoon is driving me nuts.
However I didn't expect it'd be the debris-tossing that'd drive me nuts. During my first run I managed to go through because 5 nanopastes is enough to play like an idiot, but now I'm not allowed a single mistake.

Do you guys have some tips to slice them debris efficiently? I tend to be successful up to the point where you need to slice 9 then 10 at the same time... Although I sometimes get hit earlier by debris that look like they've been cut succesfully >_>

I've started noticing that not every debris might hit you upon landing, is that a consistent pattern?

Is there an ideal position to set yourself up? (Close to monsoon, far away...)

Thanks for any help

Depending on which pillar he throws debris from, you want to get into the back corner on the same side as him. Then, when the Zandatsu symbol appears, run along the perimeter to the other corner and up the side until all the debris misses you.

So if he ends up on the right side of the map (from the perspective of you looking at him), then go to the back right corner and run to the left, then up. If he's on the left, then go to the back left corner and run to the right.

---

Alternatively, use the HF Long Sword or Murasama (for their greater length) and slash as quickly as you can. You can tell the debris is cut when it stops burning.

---

Alternatively alternatively, if you manage to do enough damage fast enough, you can skip his final debris-throwing phase. It happens around... 12%, I think? So if you can go from 20 to 10 before he gets a chance to jump away, you can skip the final debris toss.

Usually during the battle he jumps out to throw stuff four times. It's always the same pattern, vehicles are at the same positions... you can memorize it and don't forget to use both horizontal and vertical cuts (otherwise Raiden won't reach some of them). The first three rounds are easily manageable, hovewer when he jumps there for the fourth time it's better idea to just take off and run away (do a nice half a circle around the place). Or don't give him a chance to jump there for the fourth time ;-)
Okay, thanks for the help, I'll see if it works out.
Well, I finally did it... Except I didn't got credited for no damage taken (in spite of being at full hp and not using a single nanopaste)

Welp, on the bright side I missed some fights during the chapter so I need to do it again anyway... I wish we had any way to know if we didn't miss a single one. Those "-" in the middle of your S streaks are infuriating to see.

Edit: Oh well, I managed one more time and it STILL didn't credit me. Am I supposed to not take damage in that stupid fight sequence just before Monsoon where I'm in emo mode and a few mooks spawn in the court and hit me up....?
