How do you dodge?

Hello everyone I've recenlty bought this game and so far it has been a nightmare for me, not only does the keyboard don't have a dodge button like the xbone does but its just so weird. I can't dodge any of the "IF prototype" attacks what should I do?

I don't even think there is a dodge function in that game. The "if prototype" was a fast bastard, but all i had to do is be careful and jump or run before his attacks to beat him, same with most of the other enemies.

But the fight against the next boss was annoying because of that lack of dodge.

I must admit this game is strongly suggest you to use controller with analog sticks. Its weird to play on keyboard. You cant dodge attacks. You must block attacks. When enemy is attakcing , in most cases you will see flash of red light in therir eyes. When that happens you must press normal attack + direction from which attack is coming (check your keyboardkey assigment) . Raiden will lift his sword to block attack. And if you press normal attacjk button again it will counter attack your enemy . Later in the game, you can unlock skill that allows you to perform dodge move while blocking attack.

It is pretty hard game at the beginning. I died dozens of times in first boss fight and in final boss fight I died like 100 times. When you learn how to block attacks and how to perform precision slicing it will be pure fun. I suggest you to play game with the controller instead keyboard.

Try getting a wired xbox 360 controller. If you own an xbox one you can use a micro usb cable (phone charger usb) to connect the controller however I don't know if that will work. I don't know if ps3 controllers work but ps4 ones do.

light attack + space + w/a/s/d
edit: provided space is your jump key and w/a/s/d is the movement, u'll have to press all of the 3 keys together or u wont dodge

thats a fact? please state the evidence then. controlling the camera with a controller is terrible. and using the analogue sticks to move doesnt provide anything that i cant do with a keyboard
ive done the whole game on all difficulties with S rank as well as the VR missions so yea..

Yeah, i tried kbm, it feels a bit weird, but the camera can be controlled with the mouse, and there are only two attack buttons, so it's fine on kbm, unlike Devil may cry 4-3-DmC (aka the most unplayable games on kbm).

Don't know about ps4 controllers but the ps3 controller should be fine, there is a driver and a software recquired tho (i can't remember how to make it work).

You need to buy/unlock the dodge move in the customisation/shop.

I am using Logitech Dual Action and it serves me well after 5 years. Apperently this game supports only Xbox360 controller but you can easily download emulator for that controller, just goolge it.
