How to turn off auto aim/lock on/terrible camera?

I can't seem to find this anywhere. I just started the game and am trying to fight the metal gear thing, but the camera just won't look where I want it to look, I want to look at it's legs, but my character is quite intent on staring at its face regardless of how violently I move my mouse to try and look elsewhere.

This is a gamebreaking issue and I'm wondering how anyone is recommending this.

just check the key config for whatever key is your using (cant remember default one) to enable / disable lock on

Well, apparently "reset camera" is middle mouse click (I feel like a little bit of an idiot for not double checking all the keys), the camera still has a bit of doing whatever it pleases and it seems to re lock-on every time something moves... but at least I can play it now.

Still a little salty but I'll get over it. Thanks.

i meant for the key to lock on target. you should be able to have a camera that moves freely and doesnt lock on anything
