The VR missions suck. They're based purely on time, pushing for the player to find the fastest way to get through a situation rather than the most efficient way. Given that the main game scores you on a point system where time is only one factor out of several, it feels totally counter-intuitive to suddenly have to throw all of that out the window. The VR missions themselves are either boring or purely frustrating. Several of the VR missions get so difficult, they each took me several hours. This is largely due to the poor camera and inconsistent results with enemy AI behavior, making learning a pattern very time consuming and based on being lucky enough that they actually do what you want them to do.
