Blade Wolf Too Hard for a first boss ??
Seriously this boss is starting to ♥♥♥♥ me off i'm using R2 to lock to him and hes constantly kicking my ♥♥♥ seriously punishing boss so early in the game were i already have to remember around 20 slash attacks i got his health to 50% once how do you use health i have granades rearly?? how do i use them the training didnt show me nout just sliding in holes you have less then 0.03 to jump out his way or he does an annoying combo that wreaks me off 30% health

Don't get me wrong i like a challenge but please let me learn more of the game machanics first before throwing me in the deep end kinda like my first job hahahah ;-)

I will restart the game on easy if that helps much from normal

Starting to give up any tips :-(

Joe

learn to use & abuse parry. i hardly used lock on but i used a mouse to move the camera... anyways if you keep him in front of you you just gotta press forward and the attack button (W + click for me) and youll parry most of his attacks. theres also a move you can buy to dodge but not sure if you could get it so early in the game.
as for the grenade keys just check options its bound to say the key there somewhere but theyre not that useful unless theyre the EMP ones

He kind of sucks until you get the hang of it. You must have some repair paste at this point, just equip that so it gets used automatically when your life is depleted and make sure you're parrying most of its attacks. You can equip them by going to your inventory using the left or right d-pad buttons. You can also get health from the soldiers that the Wolf calls on for backup.

There should be about 3 or so Repair Nanopastes in total (one in each) in the dark green boxes where you fight him, cut the boxes open and collect them when he's not attacking you if you're running low but always be ready to fight him if he ever decides to attack or something. When he summons the group of Cyborgs, run up to them and cut them casually to stun 'em a bit (not ACTUALLY stun but just to knock them around so they don't attack you straight away) then go into blade mode and cut them in half. This'll also be a good chance to Zandatsu them (when you cut the square shown in blade mode and refill your health and fuel cells) but you don't HAVE to do it. Once they're dead, LQ-84i will jump back down and continue fighting until around 40% health, then he'll summon a Gekko (the big robots that sound like cows). This is where things MIGHT get tricky. If you know how to block, block most of it's attacks whenever possible. Also as stupid as it sounds, try to stay as far away as possible from it as it'd probably increase it's chances of it doing the charge attack where it scratches the ground then runs at you. If it does that, block, keep pressing whatever button it tells you to press, then it should be stunned and you should be able to finish it off in blade mode and maybe even a Zandatsu (if it doesn't charge then just keep blocking and attack the head and as usual, if a part of it turns a light blue color, cut that cos then it'll take even more damage). Once the Gekko is dead, LQ-84i will jump down one last time and then it's a fight to the death. Always remember to block if you can and attack when he lets his guard down. Once their health is less then 10%, they'll be stunned and you can finish them off in a cutscene-type fashion similar to how you beat the Gekko. Or you could just keep fighting them while they're stunned and kill 'em, it's your call. Then congrats, you defeated the LQ-84i. I hope this helps. :ss13ok:

The dodge is dirt cheap so you should be able to get it, you can buy stuff mid-mission in the codec(select), the dodge is called defensive offense
Parrying and dodging are pretty much the only things you need to beat the game, it's pretty easy once you get the hang of them
There is also a way to abuse the block mechanics in such a way that it will block every attack an enemy will throw at you: while you're attacking, keeping flicking the left control stick or 'W' if you're using a keyboard (god help you) towards your target whilst attacking, this way if the the enemy attacks you will nearly always block it. Also remember: if there is a red glow just before an enemy attacks you can block it, if there is an orange glow you cannot block it, keep practising and you will get the hang of it.

attack button+direction of the attack = parry. There ya go.

Blade wolf is cake, if you think hes hard now wait til you have to fight 3 at a time. Just spam parry and hes gone.

Blade Wolf is a piece of cake when you get parrying down, which his main purpose in the game is to push players to learn how to parry consistently and properly. Parrying is absolutely an essential part to playing this game, which is why his fight is based purely on knowing how to do so. When you get parrying down, you're pretty much untouchable to Blade Wolf.

Armstrong's actually not that hard if you think about it as long as you complete the QTEs and Blade Mode events that happen during the fight not to mention if you have upgraded the HF Murasama to make it do more damage . Unless you mean beating him without taking any damage, that can be a bit tricky on the harder difficulties.

Bah, Mistral is quite easy because dwarf gekkos drop health items. I want to see him beating Monsoon :D

THAT'S WHAT I WAS THINKING! :D Especially how violently he attacks, I mean SHEESH! Like I'm surprised people can get S ranks on the harder difficulties at all. Anyways, we're de-railing the discussion. *Ahem* LQ-841. Have you beaten them yet, Joe?

Pfft. DLC Armstronk will make him so mad.

For majority of the bosses the block abuse is the way to go. Flick the stick towards the enemy and press light attack at the same time, the block window is massive.
