How to skip the credits?

The game was clearly intended to be a Star Fox esque experience in that you play the main game over and over again but I beat it my second time tonight and didn't feel like killing 15 minutes on the credits, not a single button on my controller or keyboard worked so I just closed the game in Windows, upon reload it was as if I never even beat Armstrong.

This sucks.

It is a Metal gear/ Kojima productions game, so you can t skip. Just like MGS 1,2,3 and 4

Put the game in window mode before finishing the game, and just minimize it and do something else.
You just can't skip the credits.
