Jetstream Sam DLC sucks

Is it just me or does playing as Jetstream Sam just plain sucks? I mean, he's much slower reacting than Raiden, doesn't parry properly and his VR missions are just completely unbalanced and unfair. I sure am glad I didn't have to pay for this like my console friends.

I have zero trouble playing as Raiden, mind you. I think he's just a lot weaker, movement wise.

You are both completely wrong. Sam is a superb iteration of the base system and he offers a completely different way to play the game. Instead of throwing a tantrum and blaming the game, have a go at learning the system and understanding the differences.

Why do you have this attitude? Seriously, if you just humble yourself for a moment and accept that in order to make full use of the system, you actually have to sit down and learn how to use it. "Doesn't parry properly", that's just nonsense.

@Saurian Yep, he sure seems totally badass on that video. The tutorial for his moves doesn't explain that depth, it seems. Let me have another go.

Sam's dodge is much better than Raiden's, but his normal attacks are kind of lackluster in term of damage. Taunting and blade draw are pretty damn good and fun, but hard to pull off against normal enemies when the usual arena you have is so small.

Well, the videos were good advice, I think I can handle Sam better now. I still prefer Raiden's control though and I still think the VR missions are unfair.

Sam's definitely a lot different than Raiden, and personally, I prefer Raiden's moveset to Sam's. But Sam definitely isn't inferior, it's just you have to sink a lot more time into figuring out how to use Sam than Raiden. Once you master his moveset, though, there's a ton of cool stuff you can do with him.

I absolutely love playing as sam, I suck, but its insanely awesome the way that his attacks work.

Just like in DMC, they did a great job of not just going back through old areas with a different character, but actually changing how you play the game.
