No damage armstrong achievement

What am i doing wrong here? i just beat him, no healing items, no damage, on revengance dificulty on the story mode. Why didn't it unlock?

You have to take no damage on Excelsus as well. They are [technically] the same boss, just different phases.

Now that I think about it, you can do this via chapter [boss] select, so don't worry about Excelsus. Just avoid damage for the three phases of Armstrong's fights. Also, you take damage while blocking. So dodge/parry more.

In all the 3 phases, you dont have to take any damage, thats includes the barefight

yeah i did the whole chapter, no healing items, on revengance that means 1 hit you're dead. and i made sure i took no damage at all... maybe one of the cow mini metal gear scrached me or something. i'm going to try again

Pretty sure that's not the case.

Anyway, you didn't get hit by his dash attack at the end of the second phase, right? The second phase should end with an unavoidable shockwave attack, but right before he does it he charges you, and if you get hit the cutscene starts and you'll have to redo the entire fight, since you can't reload that checkpoint.

i'm sure i just moped his ass before he breaks your sword and then i dodged for the whole 3 minutes, i'm just replaying the whole thing making sure i don't get hit at all

Same thing happened to me, make sure he doesn't hit you when you don't have a sword, just dodge his attacks for a while untill the checkpoint..
The Exelsus fight doesn't count.

Yeah i finally got it, having to reset the whole chapter if he hits you it's a pain.
