Don't use Motionjoy I've heard it's a security risk, I'd recomend SCP which is what I'm using.

And that's why Dekonega put the link to betterds3, it will still need the motioninjoy drivers. The 'security risks' is only to allow ads to display on the client, they did spend alot of time on it after all and a small ad based revenue wouldn't kill anyone. Alternatively, you can create a local mode so it doesn't attempt to connect online (you'll need to do a bit of reading). I stuck with motioninjoy because they were probably the first to support 64-bit and even went to lengths to get their drivers certified.

Unless there is something more you can do by downloading a third party software to use with a ps3 controller. I've always used mine without third party software and it works fine. What Am I missing by not using third party software?

ahh nvm.. forget what I wrote above.. I just realized I'm using my xbox controller and not the ps3 to play games lol.
