Running in slow motion
I decided to play this game for the first time in a good while today. It took forever to load up, dev emlems seemed to take over a minute to wait through, then when I finally get into gameplay it's like it's playing in slow motion at about 20fps.

I rechecked the game files and relaunched and it's the same issue. I rebooted my system and it's the same issue.

This used to run flawlessly for me at 1080 and 60fps. No system changes. Ran other games to make sure it wasn't something on my end.

Any ideas what could be causing this?

Some system info would be nice, also did you do any major changes since you last played (not hardware wise since you stated that you have same system)

Running an overclocked gtx 670. Win 7 64 bit. Overclocked i5 3570k. 12GB ram.

Same setup as when I wasn't having issues. Only thing that's probably changed since last I played is my Nvidia drivers and what ever OS fixes windows has churned out. Currently running Nvidia 353.06 drivers.

Hmmmm maybe try rolling back drivers to check if that helps, did you had your parts OC'd first time you played?

Yup. Have had everything in that configuration for probably 2 years. And I checked some other games to see if there was any performance issues but everything ran normal.

When did they last patch this game?

If he had his game installed all this time, he uses same settings as previously, so shouldn't be an issue me thinks

Well, I updated my drivers. Still running slow. Dropped all settings to minimum or off. Still slow. No idea what's going on.

Only thing i can think of right now is a full system reinstall, starting fresh might fix it, nothing certain tho, i was trying to google your issue but to no avail.

I do, but it's the same setup I've had for years with no issue.

While that might be so i've read just now that it may create an issue where the game locks itself to 24hz, that might explain why you have the issue. Check this link there is a fix there: http://www.pcgamer.com/fan-fixes-metal-gear-rising-revengeance-24hz-at-1080p-issue/

Yeah. That fixed it. I wonder if I had that before and was spring cleaning and thought "what the hell is this program? I never installed this.", then got rid of it. I swear it always ran buttery smooth before.

Anyway, thanks a bunch, man.
