White blood

Is there any way to set the blood from red to white on the PC version? I played this game on my PS3 and loved it, but cyborgs with red blood always bugged me.

Blood is white in Japan/German versions. Blood is red everywhere else. No option to switch between them for technical reasons. Don't know about mods for pc.

Did a quick google search, and it seems that a mod like this would be hard to make. Shame.

I don't know why Raiden has red blood in the first place. He is suppose to have an artificial blood which is white but I can't say about the other cyborgs.

His white blood was oudtaed. There's a codec that explains that.

Yes it does. Plus it was also mentioned by Naomi in MGS4 that he used outdated blood.

So - has anyone figured out a way to play the game with white blood? Can I get the japanese version somewhere? Has anyone created a mod? I am considering replaying the game on PC, but I would love to see white blood, it's just 100% more badass somehow :D

The german version has red blood as well fyi.

Well if you say it's in, it can still be in, but it doesn't make sense to have a conversation about how white blood is outdated and still have Raiden with his state-of-the-art body using it.

EDIT: just realized all the posts before the last one were years old. To answer your question Kaffeebohnson, no there isn't any mod yet for white blood, and there will never be. It's not just textures editing, given how the blood spreading works. So the only way to get white blood is still to play the Japanese version. I don't know where to find it tho. But maybe you can get a english patch for this version so you won't be too lost. You'll still get the japanese voices, who sucks ( but that's just my opinion )

It's probably easier to create an English mod for the Japanese version since it would literally just be replacing the audio files versus a crapload of textures. Since the cutscenes aren't real time, that probably makes it even easier. Wouldn't have to replace the audio for those, just replace the whole cutscene file. We got to get to work on this, white blood is cannon and no one can tell me otherwise.
