4 me i keep dodging him and attacking him
Other than that, it's the usual: Block/Dodge and hit him, also stay aware that some of his attacks trigger QTEs.
For more details there is quite a great guide for the fight.
Dodging is your best friend. Buy the 'offensive defense' ability if you haven't.
Armstrong's every attack is dodgeable, including the AoE blast. He's kind of easy, because he has an obvious windup to most of his attacks, making it very easy to react with a dodge.
