Why doesn't raiden's eye glow red when I zandatsu?

I've seen other playthroughs where his eye will flash red when he crushes the spine but my game doesn't do that. Anyone know why?

I assume it has something to do with Ripper mode, maybe you need to be in it or you haven't unlocked it yet.

It should be happening as soon as you gain the ability to perform a zandatsu (in the second level.)

Yeah and I’ve played through the whole game twice already so I’m not sure why…

I should also mention that I tried setting it on high graphic settings but it didn’t make a difference.

Setting my resolution to 800x600 fixed it. Guess I need to get a graphics mod or something for higher resolutions.

Very odd. What resolution is your monitor? the game caps out at 1080p and won't go any higher than that without modification.

It's 1080p, but even resolutions just above 800x600 don't seem to work. I've looked through some of the known bugs which similarly get fixed at 800x600, which is why I think forcing a higher resolution might fix it depending on how the mod works (like if it tricks the game in some way).

talk to the doktor on the phone by pressing select (if you're playing on controller) i had the same issue in the conversation he tells raiden to rip them out before they fall to the ground after that conversation I was able to do it

Wow that actually worked. Weird... but thank you. Just wonder how this somehow fixes it, but that's a different question.
