Mod to remove Sundowner chopper?
I hate ranged enemies in this game but none are quite as problematic as the chopper that confronts you in the Sundowner fight. It keeps shooting at you, making a no damage run ridiculous, the rockets will take of 100+ of your health and you just don't have enough time to kill it with Sundowner constantly in you face. Is there any mod that removes the chopper? I prefer boss fights be 1on1 scenarios and while Mistrals Baby Geckos are part of her fighting still, the Sundowner chopper is just kinda there without any reason and Sundowner doesn't interact with it until the cutscene at the end

After Sundowner's initial charge attack:
If you point the homing rocket at Sundowner, he typically stops and hides behind his shield, giving you a free 5 seconds or so to back up and shoot over Sundowner's head to the helicopter behind him.
If you try to step to the side of Sundowner, you give the helicopter an open line of fire, so making sure Sundowner is between you and the copter stops it from retaliating.

During Phase 2, the helicopter doesnt spawn that often, but when it does, you have plenty of time to dodge one of Sundowner's attack and shoot a homing rocket before the Helicopter starts doing anything.

yeah the whole fight was way more frustrating than fun. cant imagine trying to no damage this.

I actually just managed to no damage him yesterday, it took about 15 minutes. Shoot the chopper with the homing rocket after Sundowner charges at you in the beginning. When you slice off all of his shields, another chopper spawns, but if you restart from checkpoint it despawns but keeps you in the second phase of the fight. Restarting from checkpoint doesn't stop you from getting a no damage bonus, as long as you weren't damaged before the checkpoint.

No-damaging Sundowner isn't terrible actually (Comparitively much easier and less glitchy than Monsoon).
Once you find the strategy/positioning to shoot down the helicopter at the start of the fight, you pretty much never have to worry about another helicopter again. It has a super long respawn time, and as Vex said, despawns when you restart the Phase 2 Checkpoint.

The hardest challenge of Sundowner is S ranking him, as just doing a No Damage run doesn't guarantee the S rank, and he dies REALLY fast.
It requires killing more helicopters for kill scores, racking up a good combo score with the polearm before he dies, and waiting around in phase 2 for him to do the move where he summons 2 Cyborgs you can Zandatsu.

The worst part is that the fight checkpoints every phase, meaning if you beat phase 2 without all the criteria, you're locked out of the S rank and have to restart the ENTIRE CHAPTER.
I had to beat all of R04 3 times just because of Sundowner's stupid checkpoints.
