Stuck on boss without health packs

Any tricks to recover? I don't really want to replay level, it probably won't help. They are throwing a lot of hard enemies here so it's not like i'm going to reach it with multiple health packs.

Sundowner. The fact that parry works in 25% of cases doesn't help, and he has some "auto aim" attacks so sprinting is also problematic. It seems to be "kill him before he kills you" boss fight, but i just need more health.

if you're having problem with parry, just spam the direction and attack buttons. I know some people are gonna say this is bad advice, but it'll result it more than 25% parry

I'm doing it but it works less than more.

In my case mastering the use of locking and offensive defence dodging makes a lot of fights so much easier

Just play some chill beats relax and become one with nature once you have accomplished this goal you can now clap every boss in any video game genre including all of the dark souls bosses just relax and clear your mind you got this seriously that’s how I beat the bosses I just slapped some relaxing music on and learned from each death and eventually I was the one clapping the boss. Sundowner is among the easiest bosses in the game, you should be able to do it without losing any health at all. The trick is that it's possible to kill him without breaking his shields and entering his second phase (which is considerably harder). Just dodge his attacks with Offensive Defense (or parry them, but be careful, for some of his attacks still cause shield explosions when parried) and bring him down to low health.

Cut his shield off as quick as possible, I personally found that (especially on tougher difficulties) he's way easier to parry in his fast state. Just parry/block red, and sidestep yellow. He usually goes down pretty fast in this state (in my experience).

I beat Sam last night, am I crazy for thinking he was an easier boss? It was more tedious for me since it was mostly parry then a couple attacks, rinse and repeat.

Sam is way easier to beat without health packs since you can win the fight without losing health way easier. The chopper on Sundowner can just kill you on higher difficulties without Sundowner ever hitting you

He is way easier. Mostly because it is the only boss in the game that just fights you in melee 1v1. No throwing cars or calling in other enemies. Just a fair fight
