Need some help on the Grad boss

Hello, im an newbie at this game ( i play it at PS3 but i think its still OK to post this here ) and there is something wrong, for some strange reason i just aint able to parry his attacks.

When he does that short range attack that he spins one of his legs to hit you multiple times, for some reason raiden only parries once and doesnt parries any of the others even if im being able to do the parry buttoms perfectly, and no matter how perfect i do it raiden just wont parry the other attacks at all.

Am i doing something wrong?

you have to hit W, and then lmb for one attack. Then you have to let go of W (or any other direction) and press it with lmb for the next attack

Just before the enemy begins that attack, there shoul be a flash of light. What color is that flash? Is it red, or yellow?

Btw, on the PS3, parrying is probaly done the same way it is for the XBox 360. For you, that would be pushing and holding the left stick towards an attacking enemy, and then pressing the Square button at the right time.

I know about these flashes of light, yellow being unblockable and usually resulting in an QTE at some enemies, etc.

Well, PS3 is kinda different, it has to be at the exact same time you press the left stick sometimes.

Honestly, just buy the dodge (Defensive Offense or something like that), it's almost TOO GOOD and the only sure way to deal with unblockables/grapples with I think the only exception being Monsoon's big "Lorentz force" attack with needs to be parried twice in quick succession iirc or just Ninja'd away from..

This thread is kinda old, i have beat the game already and im now trying to finish this game on Very Hard...

Yeah, i learned how to use Defensive Offense during MG Excelsus and Armstrong fight ( because it pretty much forces you to ) Its an pretty useful move.

But still, thanks
