Fighting Gekkos
Just got this game, and and a little confused about some of the combat mechanics.

When fighting Gekkos, sometimes the legs or other parts of the Gekkos will become shaed blue and there will be a Yellow icon / indicator hovering over the enemy. Sometimes I am able to trigger a QTE but other times I am unable, so I'm not always sure what this condition indicates.

Is there something in particular I am supposed to do when this happens?

Yellow flashes are grabs which trigger QTE's if they hit you. You cant block em, just dodge em.

Sorry, I think I didn't explain well.

I don't mean the yellow flashes when it attacks. I am talking about the following:

1) You do enough damage to a particular part of a Gekko

2) That limb / area turns a shaded blue / grey color (almost translucent)
- Sometimes this triggers a QTE prompt (to press B on XBox controller, after which Raiden jumps on top for further QTE).
- Sometimes not (or if you miss it).

3) Gekko will keep attacking you. Shaded limb remains, with a little line / callout with a Yellow icon (japanese Kanji) pointing to the enemy, that is supposed to indicate something...Not sure what it is trying to get you to do however.

Oh. If they go blue, you can cut these parts in blade mode. The less health the enemy has, the more parts become available to be cut.

I think the trigger for the QTE is when you bring their health down to a certain amount.
