Edit: Red suit and infinite wig for batteries.
Just wanna take this back, having gotten further into VR missions.
Gameplay shouldn't have to devolve from enjoyable fun, into forced training the player to pres buttans perfick, like some kind of chimp at NASA.
My response to this expectation being, suck my balls
The worst part about it for me isnt just how many times he attacks, but its that occasionally he'll do something completely random and unintended.
One time I got him down to the point where hes supposed to do the final cutscene and you QTE him to death, but Monsoon decided to have NONE of it. Instead of triggering it like normal, he went into his magnetic form and did one last surprise jump attack, before activating the cutscene immediately after. It caught me completely off guard because I thought he was just jumping up to the tower as normal, but nope...
Restart it again.
I also think I caused him to skip a phase of vehicle throwing once, but I wasn't able to replicate it.
I once skipped the cutscene which makes him throw the big vehicle mash up thing and get the lyrics part of the song going. Was pretty useful, I guess.
The trick is to know when to parry, and when to attack.
Equip the pincer blades (Sundowner's weapon) and load up on EMP grenades (or use the infinite ammo wig).
When the fight starts immediately attack with a charged up pincer attack, then get ready to parry.
Monsoon with either throw smoke bombs, or keep on kicking/using sais.
After the smoke bomb sequence, attack him with another charged pincer attack, and possibly some regular sword attacks.
His health should now be low enough for him to start throwing helis and cars at you.
If you are using the infinite ammo wig, you can simply run from corner to corner when he starts throwing the vehicles at you.
After he has finished throwing vehicles at you, he will enter his 'magnetic phase'.
Simply lob an EMP grenade on him and take his head clean off.
After his head is on the ground, charge up your pincers and wait for his body to assemble again. Once his body is assembled, attack him with the pincers.
Keep on doing this and you'll finish the fight.
I believe you need to beat him in less than 7(ish) mins for the S rank.
Elect me and aim a fart-cannon at Platinum's office and I'll sit on the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ button, 'cos one could not be more angry with this PoS game right now. Why the bloody hell oh why, do they always have to turn such an immensely fun game into such a cheese-ball sack of intensely, irritatingly cheap and fiddly yak's wank?!
I'd love to love Platinum's games, but they seem to want to do everything remotely possible to force as much ball-sack into the player's face as possible, come late-game challenges that reward not effort, but nothing short of abject repetition to reach absolute perfection. Get over yourselves and keep it fun for normal people, you autistically arrogant bunch of tosspots. Or do you actually think being hard as flaming balls annoying will make people want to buy more of your stupid guff? God-sodding-dammit
Done Excelsius, but Armstrong is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ C***. My dodge will dodge *sometimes* and it's a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ trial and error bout of sheer attrition to get so far before he completely cheaps me, by hitting or grabbing me out of thin-♥♥♥♥♥♥ air and mid-bleedin' dodge (what the hell is the point of a dodge that cannot sodding dodge?!). Even though I've done him with no damage on hard (and it didn't bloody register again).
Thus, I'm doubling down on whatever bucket-headed spunk-monkey that came up with this BS, being just that. Thanks for letting absolute elitist autism turn the end-game of a great game into such an aggravating slog of abject infuriation. Did you even consider how the save-system is a complete joke?
Just unbelievably annoying. I haven't been this pissed-the-♥♥♥♥-off with a game since I fell off TRII's Floating Islands and accidentally saved on the way down. ♥♥♥♥ me.
I may beat this bastard yet.
