All work around if you REALLY want to play this game !!!

Hello guys,

After some times messing around with this game, I would like to share some experience if you really want to overcome the bugs and play this game.

Example of my installation path, yours may different:

INSTALLATION_FOLDER = D:\Steam\steamapps\common\Blitzkrieg3\

IMPORTANT !!
- Some steps required turn off Steam app and launch from Launcher.exe
- When Steam is running, even with cloud save off, starting game using Launcher.exe, the game still silently sync your old progress from auth.blitzkrieg.com, and discard all changes.

1.If you can not start the game because of missing C:/Program/User_/globus_.xml

Create a dummy folder C:/Program and copy all content of your User_ folder found in your INSTALLATION_FOLDER\Data\User_

2. If you see EMPTY reserved units.

- Turn off Steam IMPORTANT !!
- Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\YourSteamID\235380
- Backup and delete all files there.
- Download my temporary save here https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Iy54lht_7TfRMD2RVaTm6TrS3CrZ2zR-/view?usp=share_link then copy all the User_ folder to your INSTALLATION_FOLDER\Data\User_
- Start the game by running INSTALLATION_FOLDER\Launcher.exe
- Do not run game from Steam shortcut to prevent Cloud Save sync, I am also encounter screen resolution mission bug when run game from steam shortcut

3. If you want to EDIT the required Attack strength limit of each mission:

1.Open your INSTALLATION_FOLDER\Data\User_\Globus_pve.xml with a Text Editor
2. Find <PvEMissions> tag, in each mission there will be a field called AtkSizeLimit, change them like 450 to 4500 then you will call an army with 4500 strength to use in that mission

4. If you want to PASS mission that not marked as completed, after you already won that mission.

This is a little tricky, be warned.
1. Get LiteDbExplorer, a portable version is here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/10xngyYnFzKe7CjnqrnWzQ-oV2niKoMJo/view?usp=sharing
2. Backup your User_ folder
3. Open LiteDbExplorer, from there open INSTALLATION_FOLDER\Data\User_\a_ file.
4. Go to table name (1) and column (j_), COPY the value
5. Open https://jsoneditoronline.org/, paste the value and select Format Json for easy editing
6. Find PvEMissionProgress tag, edit the values there to TRUE for example:

7. You can even add new record with missionId and CampaignId found in User_/Globus_pve.xml
8. Press Compact Json to minify it then copy back the value to column (j_), exit LiteDbExplorer
9. Turn off Steam. IMPORTANT !!

Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\YourSteamID\235380. Backup and DELETE all files there.
10. Start the game by running INSTALLATION_FOLDER\Launcher.exe to prevent Steam Cloud save syncing. Do not run game from Steam shortcut.

5. You can EDIT research points and general experience to get Legendary items and rewards by messing with a_ file in previous step.

In this case look for table (2) with 3 difference records for 3 factions. Look for tag: ResearchesStore and GeneralsBag. Remember to assign the general to a mission, reward only appear after you complete a mission with that general. 

If you don't turn off cloud sync, sometimes edit results only happen with your 2 other inactive factions, your currently playing faction can't be edit.

i finished the german campaign, i am preogressing on the allied campaign but my progress for soviets is stuck in era II.
the defence of sevastipol and stalingrad missions are available, but locked. i have levelled up my commander but it doesn't matter, the missions are still locked. i need to play those missions to upgrade, but can't upgrade because they are locked. do you know how to unlock these missions?

They are locked because you haven't completed the previous main mission. Or may be you did, but it hadn't registered.

Follow case number 4 to fix it. Once the required mission is marked as done (the green light turned off). The next mission will be unlocked.

It's working, I don't give it 100% but I think something around 95% the game is ok...

I think in my case, my mistake was using the game shortcut that is on the desktop, when I did a new installation and did steps and used the game .exe in the game folder and deleted the steam shortcut, it worked a lot good...

No files are downloaded for me. The game installation is no use.

Thank You. Really helpfull. In my case I had to copy also the "Params" folder from the original directory to the "Program" directory.

They are locked because you haven't completed the previous main mission. Or may be you did, but it hadn't registered.

there is 2 or 3 normal missions that are marked as complete. they are the only story missions available. i willl try #4 sometime

Did you check unfinished mission in era 1? I think Sevastopol is starting mission in era 2, maybe it requires story mission in era 1.

3 finished normal missions, no green light on them. other 2 missions are still locked with a padlock?

i have sometimes replayed missions and it has cleared the light on the mission marker. also try staying on the finish screen for a minute or so before leaving

rjev in era 1 is finished but not marked as finished. i will try finish it again

just replayed rjev mission and now sevastapol mission is unlocked cheers. never thought about going back to go forward lol. it would help if the missions actually cleared when you finish them

Can anyone confirm this? About staying on a finish screen a minute or more?

As I experienced, sometimes a game session can record every wins, sometimes it can not. Last time when logged in I was at Allies faction, play 2 missions and nothing recorded, but then I switch to Germany, all of the next missions are recorded without any trouble.

Next time I try switching faction to see if it works.
