Anyone here remember the original on the Genesis / Sega Mega Drive?

So... I know that game must be like 20+ years old now, but the original Strider was one of my all time favourit games on the old school consoles.

How does this "Remake" compare?

I say remake because I am not sure weather this game is a remake or just a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ized cut and paste job of other games and just happens to call be called "Strider". That's why I haven't bought it yet. I just don't know if this game is comparable to the original on any level. I'd like it too be. If it was, I'd definately consider buying it, but the original game was a classic.

I'd say its a "loose" remake. Loose in the sense that all of the bosses from strider on the genesis are here, but the game has its own plot with much more emphasis on exploring akin to "metroidvania" games. I remember the original strider on the Genesis fondly and am glad to report that the devs have done a teriffic job with this.
