Good then, the first Strider was an extremely difficult arcade game. It was made, like almost all games at this period, to be extremely hard, frustrating but also to make people spend more $$$ into it because they wanted to beat it.
This game is far from "hard". I've tried to replay the Genesis/Megadrive remake of Arcade version of Strider & i can't even beat the 2 first stage anymore without having a Game Over...
I'm kicking myself for starting on normal; the only boss I've had trouble with was Xi Wang Mu, I died about 5 times before taking a break, only to find out that the checkpoint was a jumping sequence, multiple item pickups and 5 fight sequences away; despite it restarting just before the fight on a retry.
Normal enemies are a joke, most bosses without in depth (or bullet hell) mechanics are a joke, and overall I really wish I could switch over to hard.
I guess my hard playthrough will be a speedrun (sub 4 hours) and I'll use this run to get 100% completion. Though, shame to hear that costumes don't carry over into new saves..
If you can't handle this on easy, I can only suggest that you try playing some actual games. When I was a kid, pretty much all of the games were harder than this one.
I am inclined to agree, though they are a facet of gaming society. The bottom line though, if you can't take the heat, get away from the Falchion.
If anything it's actually way too easy even on hard. It gets a bit more challenging at the end, but overall I have to say the difficulty is probably my main gripe with this game.
If you're bad at the game just keep on trying and learn from what you're doing wrong, or do you want everything on a silver plate?
I cant suggest anything other than get better at the game, something that most casual players refuse to do or just dont want to invest the time to get better.
You should play games like DMC 4 or Darksiders they realy help when you want to get better in such games.
For me the game is realy fun but the bosses are to easy i only died 3 times from the tank and 3 times from the flying one because i was dumb XD the rest i beat on the first try.
