This is the last Capcom game I buy. I refuse to support a company that can't get it's ♥♥♥♥ together. Especially after how many times it's ♥♥♥♥♥♥ it's customers over in the past.
But on another note - what graphics card are you using? There are a lot of complaints on the forums about graphics / crashing that are related to graphic cards that basically ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ you into thinking they'll work with directx11 built applications.
But what the hell do I know, I don't even own the game.... yet? Or do I ... TO THE INFORMATORIUM!
what OS? What gfx card? Laptop? Desktop?
Some laptops have hybrid (crappier) cards that might supersede the beefy (working) graphics card due to power consumption when booting or who knows, I have a giganticly heavy Alienware laptop that likes to randomly turn off the 550m
Uh, sure. All I want to know is more details so I can possibly try to assist the next generation of PC gamers to understand the difference between a 64bit built DX11 game and you know, not.
To be fair SF4 was built and supports windows XP (32 bit windows) - Strider does not. 64bit operating systems, DirectX11 cards (not whatever dxdiag tells you). Is it pretty ridiculous? Sure but technology is migrating towards the trend of not supporting systems that are older.
And as for the game not launching - that's a conundrum. I'll have to wait until I get home to check my laptop, but i'm sure you ran some dx11 too :(
Laptop? Desktop? Graphics card? System OS? Not to be a ♥♥♥♥, but telling me you're 100% sure is like telling me I'll be ok if I lose my arm in an accident. Are you a doctor? I don't know! It's the internet!
Since the initial boot error I've run windows update, gotten the lastest gfx card drivers, made sure I have directx 11 installed, restarted PC, and tried setting different resolutions in launch options.
Guess we'll just have to wait for the devs to address this.
