Nearly impossible Bounty challenges.
This is a joke. Absolutely terrible. I love TellTale and all their games and I was proud to call myself a TellTale fan, but I really think I'm not going to buy another game from them after the amount of frustration I'm feeling about this right now. I've spent about 6 hours trying to unlock any of the other three final bounty challenges I got randomly rolled. I've focussed mostly on the first one but all three are pretty much just down to luck as far as I'm concerned.

1. Win a showdown with only a highcard
2. Win a Tournament With a Hand Win Percentage Greater than 25%
3. Win a tournament without going below 10000 chips

The third one seems possible if I really dedicate some time to it, number two seems utterly ridiculous if I'm a patient player who folds unless I'm confident I can win, but number one is just pure, dumb luck that I've been trying for 6 hours. I wish there was a way to reset the randomly generated challenges, because this really sucks and I'm really angry at TellTale right now.

Win a Showdown with only a High Card
"The absolute worst Bounty and bane of my existence. This requires you with win with a High card, which means you can't have any good hands, no pairs, no anything. Best hope? Have a King and an Ace and hope for the best. Unfortunately this is the most difficult one to win and it's usually the final Bounty for people to complete"

-some guide thats on steam

it seems like people agree that it's a difficult challenge but it looks like it can be done. also i'm sure it'll be fun just playing the game too.

The third one isn't as difficult as it looks. You can BET so you're below 10k chips, you just can't end a hand below 10k. I went all in several times, won each of them and got the challenge.

The 'win showdown with only high card' needs to die in a fire. I've been stuck on that for almost a year...

I just started to play this game, but I won similar challenge (as an achievement) in previous version quick enough. It could help to risk more :). Still, it is rare.
What I lack in achievements in first version, it is "four-of-a-kind (saw it three times, never in my hand), "straight flush" (never saw it) and "down to the green" (not sure how to get it). I wonder if some bounties have similar things as a challenges in this version.

I'm pretty sure I got all of those, it just takes a little patience. The 'win showdown with high card' is total luck. There is no amount of skill involved. You just have to hope that neither of the two of you get even a pair.

Well there is a little amount of skill. You just don't fold when have possible cards for this :). Ace and king, for example. And yes, I ran into that challenge in this game before the last bounty. For now I can't take it. For all bounties I played Omaha (like it better), but for that challenge it's better to play Texas, I think (lesser chance for pairs etc in player's hand). There is only that and "Win (or come second) consecutive tournaments" left before GLADOS bounty.

The third one is kind of easy actually, in that case you play very defensively and always bet the other guys out when you get really good cards, and if you get in danger of falling below 10k just all in if you get the blind. As for the 25% win just bully whoever you are with when there's only you and one other. My personnal recommendation is try to make claptrap last, he plays like a coward during the final showdowns in my experience

Winning a hand with a high card is difficult? I know it is luck but that has happened to me at least 10 or so times in the week or so I have had the game.
Forum Joe May 10, 2014 @ 5:31pm
Yeah, it's happened to me heaps too, but never when I need it to.
Shallex, it's easy when it's not part of a bounty.

That's for sure :). Murphy's law in action :).

There is a way to reset it. It might not work for you though. I found that when you're first given your set of challenges, if you don't like them, exit the game then load it up again and create a new game. A new set should be given to you.
Forum Joe May 13, 2014 @ 2:22am
Yeah, I read about that. Only works the very first time you're given your challenges. As soon as you play a game, they get locked in.
Santyaga May 13, 2014 @ 10:15am
At least they should include in "high card" bounty a case, when player wins with "kicker" card (ace kicker, for example).
Upd: wow, just completed last bounty round with two remaining bounties: "win consecutive tournament" + "High card". A 5 minutes after I wrote first half of this post :). More than that, it was the last hand of tournament which I win with High card. Luck indeed :D.

Theory: Complaining about ridiculous challenges raises chances of completing said challenges by 50%
Forum Joe Jun 2, 2014 @ 5:41am
Alas, completing these challenges has not been a high priority after I gave up, so I can not provide evidence for or against that theory. I will load up Poker Night 2 again sometime soon and see if I find it much easier, as your theory would suggest.
