How tf do you win a showdown with a high card?

I finally got all 4 bounties and waited to see the 3 challenges to get the portal core. I've heard of other people getting the "win a showdown with just a high card" challenge. So the challeneges pop up and I'm like please don't give me that. But naturally with my luck it pops up, I was like you got to be ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ kidding me. I mean I like a good challenge but not something impossible like that. So has any one gotten that challenge and beaten it, if so how (I'm guessing alot of luck), some tips would be nice. I mean to me this sounds pretty much impossible and a nice trolling by telltale.
For one you need to hope you don't even get a pair. Then hope your opponent doesn't get one either to beat your high card, like wtf it's some ole BS. I wish they'd at least give you the option to reset your bounty challenges or get rid of that one challenge all together. Way to screw us over with crap like that telltale, gg.

Yup it's some serious BS like wtf were they thinking with a challenge like that. Even if I could use tokens to give me a new challenge it be worth it. Thanks alot for ruining your own game with that nonsense, it just boggles the mind as to why they would do that and it's a real piss off, definately last time I buy a TT game.

yeah im stuck on this one too, and its also my last one! i had no problem with all the other challenges but this one is just rubbish. its almost impossible to influence the other players to play bad hands and even if you can someone still might make a pair or better because of the community cards.

i hope telltale do something about this challege because its not really a challenge when we have zero control over it.

What's worse is that the game will intentionally undercut you if you are almost getting this challenge. I played very fast and loose to get this challenge done (Literally my last challenge to get access to GlaDoS' item) and every time I almost had it, I would get dealt a pair in the last card. The weirdest one was literally getting dealt a full house when I HAD Sam with an Ace Queen over his King Jack...

yeah this one is awful. you pretty much have to start off with at least 1 high card, and then check/call your way to the river to ensure a showdown with someone (all the while hoping you dont complete a hand) and then hope they have worse cards than you.

incidentally, i did happen to get this one several times against Ash. I'd go all in before the flop with something like a K,x combo and he'd do the same with a J,x. Everyone else folds and nothing is dealt but rubbish. I win with highcard.

It really is luck, but you'll get it eventually if you're prepared to play everyhand to a showdown. The other way to make your chances slighlty better is to go into a showdown with only 1 opponent. Then there are less chances for an already awful hand of being beaten by a stray pair or whatnot.

Best way to do this is if there is only two of you left. You don't even need a really high card if you can tell that the other guy have crap cards

you have to wait for a character like ash to be low on chips (e.g. 2000), he will probably bluff (try to have as much players eliminated as possible). i've already encountered bluffing with cards like a 2 and a 10. good luck winning :)

It's also easy to get if you see a pair on the flop. Stay in the pot even if you have nothing if you are playing against just one person. Don't bet the other person out of the pot either!

There two version of the bounty. One is "win with a high kicker", the other one is "win with just a high kicker". That one is much harder, due to the fact everyone in the showdown must have nothing but a high card kicker.

Stay with one opponent. And alt + f4 if not able to win, then start game and choose "continue the tournament". Repeat until victory.

this acheivment it seems is currently broken iv won now with 3 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ high cards and it wont give it to me when are they going to fix this bug?
