I just got a new Windows 11 laptop, and for whatever reason, PN2 won't even start. What's the deal?

I have the same problem only mine worked for a short period of time. Hope to find someone who knows what's wrong.

I've reinstalled half a dozen times, after uninstalling. Running into the same issue.

Same here, it didn't work for a while when first installing yet somehow worked the last couple of days just fine, and now doesn't work again today even though I changed nothing (as far as I know with win 11 background activity.) Bizarre.

Whenever it doesn't work, I get this error:
"Could not initialize Direct3D. Make sure you have current video drivers and close any other applications that might be running. You will need a video card that supports at least pixel shader version 1.2."
Also, some pinned taskbar apps will be suddenly be blank despite still being clickable after closing a failed launch. I get it if there could be some redistributable or update I'm missing, but the issue is intermittent.

edit: restarted my comp, works again. Guess I'm lucky for now, I don't get it.

I tired playing today after a
I upgraded my laptop to 11. It kept saying 2 components were missing and "re-installing should resolve the issue"

so i had this problem. booting it through windows explorer gave me an error that said MSVCR100.dll missing. atfer installing Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable the program would work again for me.
