In the store page it says that there are "100 New Missions: Embark on a whole new series of missions, many with their own uniquely challenging objectives." are these just those side fetch/battle quests or are they actual story missions?

They're obviously expanding the story from the first game.
First game stops after Madara vs Kage and then Naruto vs Tailed Beasts
This game continues on to Sasuke/Itachi vs Kabuto

I'm not sure how much further it goes than that... Kabuto (Sage mode) is the only new character.

dude, this is separate DLC, know as Sage Kabuto DLC, Full burst DLC contains 100 mission that was questioned about and they're for sure side missions, as delivering scroll to Kumo or something -.-

that we're getting everything all together doesn't mean that all of it is called full burst.

Full Burst is mainly revamped cutscenes, DLC costumes and that side missions
Kabuto DLC is that Brothers fight, and it gives only one more boss battle with Sage Kabuto
