Can't do some combos. Whats my mistake?

I cannot do combos like:
BBB+Left_Stick_Up(or Down or another direction)+BBBB (various count of B from character to character).
I tried to input this combination, but there is the same result if i would do simple BBBBB combos.


P.S. A strange combat system, very very easy and boring, i expected more by this game. Nonetheless i enjoyed the story, though wasnt saw the anime.

First of all, what controller are you using? because i use an xbox controller and for me it's very simple. Second, i think you are mistaking boring with simple, if you want a game that will take you all week just to learn 1 guy's moves only to forget them the day after, go buy mortal kombat. and another thing is, im sure if you want to, you can find a more complex naruto game with only 24 character.

Yea im afraid those things were part of the PS2 Naruto games and the PSP versions but you can make some sick combos by tilt cancels, awakening during combos, chakra dashing in combos and throwing them up in the air to do ninjutsu/chakra dash/ ultimate.

Try starting the combo tilting left and just keep pushing it untill your'e finished.

Just keep stick pressed in the direction for duration of combo until it proc the followup you need.

Correct me if im wrong, but with keyboard these combos looks like:
B+B+B+press and keep pushing direction button until the end of combo+B+B+B+B

Exactly the same with the controller, you need to keep pushing up or down direction until the end to perform those combo

thank you guys. Really, the solution is to hold direction (not just press as i do).
