There are differences in accuracy ratings for weapons, they just don't show right away.
Is it? I haven't noticed.
I hope they add weapon mods and ammo types in the future. I don't remember which gun it was, but the last PnP campaign I ran in, my dude had this gnarly pistol that fired depleted uranium rounds, had SmartLink, a laser sight, a flashlight (both normal and thermal), a 4x scope, and a storage container that could fit 2 additional mags (or items of equal size; he kept drugs in it).
Thats exactly what the manufacturer of the colt wants you to say. Undercut the competition. Yay free enterprise!
In PnP, the Thunderbolt fires BURSTS. So quickly that, in SRR, it should be firing like an SMG: 1AP should put 2-3 attacks on your target.
I didn't think to find out if SRR actually does it that way. But if it DOES ...? Worth it. Worth it and a LOT more, besides.
Slagging corps... They even got me with this drek!
No difference that I can see. Range, crit, damage, skills... all the same. I guess there could be some other difference under the hood, but everything stated in game is the same.
I would also like to see different ammo used, and some more weapon accessories. I'd love a narcoject, with the ability to dump different types of drugs and poisons into it.
In the P&P, the Manhunter and the Predator are pretty much functionally identical competitors. The Thunderbolt is a Lone Star exclusive, released in 2054, that only does Burst Fire. It's supposed to fire 3 shots so fast that you can't separate them through hearing. It just makes one loud report, like a thunderclap.
And the Savalette Guardian was the official Shadowrunner badge of Cheddar Heads.
That and the Ares Squirt
Heh, never really thought about brand loyalty in a world where most brands are made up...
Has it always been that way, or is this a recent change?
