Weird gear change sounds
This has been bothering me for a while and I haven't seen very many people make note of it, but I still feel the need to ask:

Why do gear changes in this game sound so strange? No other sim has this "hiccup" effect on upshifts to anywhere near the same extent that PCars does and quite frankly it's not even remotely realistic. If you don't know what I mean then watch this comparison and you'll notice the gear changes on AC are instant whereas on PCars there's always this little hiccup

This annoys me more than anything. Is that a feature that's there to stay on PCars or is it something that's going to be ironed out later?

Sounds realistic to me....

That's simulating the shock that goes through the drivetrain on a hard shift, with the engine being forcefully pulled to lower revs. The same wobble is present in the Assetto Corsa part of that video, just much more muted due to their softer engine sound.

Here are some real videos of the Z4 GT3 with the same wobble on flat upshifts:

I probably should have chosen better wording as you guys are misunderstanding what I'm trying to say. I'm not saying the wobble/hiccup effect doesn't exist at all. I'm saying that it's nowhere near as pronounced in real life as it is in PCars. No other sim has the effect as strong as PCars does, which I find a little annoying. Essentially, my problem is that the upshift sounds are overexaggerated.

Watch this video and you will understand, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZA7N3eCfSX8 you hearing real sounds, not artifical ones the other Sim is trying to make. Plus the fellow driving in the sims, can down shift faster than you can in real life. You do that on a real ♥♥♥♥♥♥, and you'll be spending more money for a new one, to race around the track.

Another Sim with great sounds, RaceRoom here's your same car. Sounds real to me. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XB6cv4E9_iA

Not realistic? You're kidding! It is realistic, some cars do even more rpm hiccups/wobbles on an upshift, here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aPnLWPNNGyk

It's bc dog-gears are not smooth and engagement is harsh, but FAST, this translates as a mech shock in drivetrain which gets relayed to engine and thus rpm hiccup or wobble
