More likely the positive reviews are bots/paid reviewers lol Google it right now about buying paid reviews for steam. There's tons of websites that offer services to give your games on steam positive reviews for you for relatively cheap.

I guess the main thing is you can sit here and try to say the bad reviews are bots but same could be said about the good reviews. I do know if you look outside of Steam from reviews from users (NOT BIG COMPANIES like IGN) the consensus is it's a bad game. So... you can either believe what the big media gaming sites tell you or the overwhelming amount of user reviews out there on Google, Metacritic, ect. Up to you!

I think most Diablo fans don't need to see steams reviews to know what the game is. We've been playing it since June. It's not great right now, not something I'd recommend to others but there's potential for improvement so we'll see what the future holds.

Yeah.. and I am afraid Blizz will somehow still get paid and I already gave them $100 like an idiot (although my wife is partly to blame for it). Reminds me too. Love how they shafted my poor wife. She only plays Diablo games and was so excited to play it with me, she bought us a PS5 for it.

So we buy the $100 version so she can get her bonuses. Well.. I am the gamer in the house, so I first booted up D4 on my account and they gave my PSN nic the bonuses. She logs in right after and she got nothing. I tried to contact customer support and they told us she had to buy another $100 copy! LOL..

So right away it was off to a bad start. Then the first season, same thing, had to buy her a battlepass. Really sad that happened. It's baffling how freaking greedy Blizzard is though. Drives me nuts so many here just defend them and their greedy monetization. Wouldn't have killed them to give my wife a horse skin and a freaking e-mote on her account but no, they wanted her to buy another $100 copy. They have no regard for us which frustrates the hell out me, Really miss the human element of gaming anymore.

Diablo 4 is a massive disappointment of a game. A lot of the people defending it are influenced by Blizzard. No way you can say this game is finished. Even Diablo 2 from two decades ago had more social features, customization of builds and around double the amount of skills you can actively use (D2 had a weapon swap, D4 has six skills max and one is usually an ultimate and one is a boring generator skill so more like four active skills). They made this game cheap and rushed it out.

That's a shame because most people bought it on Battlenet already. If this game launched on Steam it would probably be overwhelmingly negative with a score of around 20% or less. I don't think that can be argued judging by the metacritic score. It will get slightly better ratings lately b/c most of the people who quit are gone for good and Blizzard is stepping up the content.

That's really disappointing. Reviews should stay even if they were refunded. Kind of defeats the purpose since often times when you refund a game, it's because there's stuff you dislike which you would like to warn others about. Kind of silences people from bringing to light issues with a game. Not just Diablo but I mean in a wider scope of things.

There's no such thing as "review bombing". It's a term some "games journo" came up with to dismiss criticism he doesn't like and talentless developers jumped to embrace the term to dismiss player feedback that they don't like. Notice you'll never see a journo or dev/pub ever say a game has been "positive review bombed". Because they know "review bombing" isn't actually a thing.
