40FPS with RTX4070 and i7-14700k in absolutely empty Samuk village is freaking hilarious.
They most certainly did not improve audio issues.
It now appears that a lot of the time, I have no music. Sometimes, if the stars align and all, I will load D4 and have music, but most of the time, nope. I tested it out today, and out of 15 times I loaded D4 (after having checked file integrity via Steam, rebooted, etc. etc.), I had full music just twice.
2/15 times I had music.
The other sound effects (like enemy noises, NPC v/o) works just fine, but music and my char's voice clips are now an absolute coin-toss as to if they'll be there.
