This season is pay to win.. and next season will be too..

Played every season so far. It's been bad, it's been good, but this.. is unacceptable.
Paid $60 for the base game and $10 per season? What?! You only paid $120?!
Get in the bin trash and buy our new DLC for another $40 or you'll have the following:

> Classes that are 100 - 1,000 times weaker than Spiritborn (oh we know, shame)
> Random unique drops only, no specific crafting, UI is a premium feature
> No runes and we'll buff runes next season to make you need them even more
> No companions for you, grind for longer peasant, on your own, like you deserve
> Wanna PvP in a game where your enemy can deal billions of damage? LOL
> Event only in our premium only area? Not for you, get locked out kid

Etc, etc. You get the point. You can pay money to be much, MUCH stronger in this game. They did this on purpose and next season will be no different. Furious, i'm out.

And that's only if you want to, at home we've been playing just fine without them. The only bit I don't like is how they show all the pay for items intermingled with the free stuff. It just makes it more difficult to see what I can earn. But I understand it, Blizzard hopes that I'll see something really cool looking in the stuff that requires a battle pass and then break down and pay for it, I wont.

POE2 actually looks really good. I'm mad because i've spent $120 on this game and apparently, I don't get the full experience unless I pay $160 plus future DLC/ seasons.

I don't mind paying up to $100 for a game, provided I get the whole experience, not less. You can ignore the season passes unlike me, but it's the principle, when will it end? Will I need to drop $200/ $300 next year to play a game I already paid full price for? It's a joke.

Be carewul with PoE2. I've seen PoE2 "tactical" gameplay (a.k.a. squishy character running away from mobs) in the other games before - for example, in WH40k Inquisitor Martyr v1.0 - and it wasn't fun at all.

Meanwhile I've played D4 S6 for almost 300 hours. To compare: all 4 other Steam seasons combined accumulated less time. Tis is the first time when my character does not feel underpowered and I'm happy with VoH purchase (correction: it's second time, first was ball lightning sorc in S2 iirc)

If the OP is talking about the Realmwalker event which is the main focus of the Season. It's not locked too the Expansion exclusive zone. From what I know 2 Realmwalkers show up every hour. One in the expansion exclusive zone and one somewhere elze on the world map. So saying "Event only in our premium only area? Not for you, get locked out kid" is a blantant lie.

Also why even bring up PVP?, this is not a PVP game it was never desinged to be, best find a new game if you want PVP.

Runes are nothing to desire, I have found them to be well kinda a joke and I dont even use them. Rather slotting my gear with gems that actually help my build.

Classes are off balanced compared to Spiritborn, that is a given fact and does need to be fixed. Doubtful if that will happen tho.

Mercs. They are not too bad, some fun combos to be had but they are only really useful if you are not already playing in a group.

Bottom like tho is this season is not Pay2Win. Season si completely free to play and you don't have to pay for battlepasses unless you want to. There have been many posts on here about Pay2Win and I am just not gonna get into it. A paid full Expansion that adds multiple things is not "DLC:" and is not Pay2Win. If you choose to stick with the base game then that is your choice.

DIABLO IV is pay to win, because you can have bought in-game powerful item, in-game gold, etc. outside official DIABLO IV shop. DIABLO IV's goal is no pay to win everywhere. MICROSOFT, BLIZZARD ENTERTAINMENT and they are currently working on no pay to win.
