Why is the Interceptor so weak?
Seeing as you had to finish the story to unlock the interceptor and seeing as Max's black leather jacket you unlock at the end is the strongest jacket I thought that the Interceptor would be really strong and fast and it is fast but it can barely take a hit which is annoying as I'd rather drive the Interceptor than the Magnum Opus but it needs a repair every 20 minutes and they usually cost 350+ scrap, they could atleast make it stronger or allow you to spend scrap to upgrade the car and make it stronger, it's just really annoying that one of the coolest movie cars of all time and the thing I was most looking forward too in this game was truly disappointing. All I wanna do is play a Mad Max game where I can drive the Interceptor and not have it be a piece of crap

I know but in its bio it's listed as the spiritual successor to the Magnum Opus but there are plenty of other collectible cars that are definitely better, I was just expecting more

Interceptor is not sturdy in movies either as you could see :) it's just not for ramming
Max's final shotgun is also crappy, so out of 3 final items only one is better

and that's why I think the Interceptor should be a body that you can use for the Opus. plus once you unlock the Interceptor you should get the black on black color for your cars.

I was thinking that too but that is basically just the wild hunt with only a few differences in detail and design and the black on black paint would kinda just be like the black tar body paint but without that weird darkish blue and silver in it, also maybe you could keep the oil tanks on the back to seperate it from the wild hunt but that makes the magnum opus a bit weaker

I agree, great idea
only one problem - it doesn't have place for harpoon or sniper

I would think they could render a model of that car without the tanks in the back. I would hope so at least hahaha

Maybe if they made it so you could only change the ram, the body armour and stuff kinda like the Interscrotus (Scrotus's version of the Interceptor) at the end battle in the game so you can't change the big chief V8 engine or the wheels but you could change the body paint and decals

But in the first Mad Max the Interceptor doesn't have the tanks in the back, also seeing as Tom Hardy played Max didn't Max kinda have a British accent?

Then that wouldn't be Interceptor, it's like placing wheel on left side or Max speaking with British accent. unacceptable!

I think that this game is set before Fury Road as Max is trying to travel through the plains of silence which is what he was trying to do in that movie and would explain why he has the V8 in the film

Hardy hardly(haha) speaks and i'm not English-native, so i have no idea :hee:
Also game is clearly after at least second movie

Unfortunately the interceptor is just another car skin.
I also think they should have put a bit more effort into it

Just use the Wild Hunt body.

The reason its so popular is because it looks so much like the interceptor.

During the last fight with Scrotus, he uses a chop shop version of the interceptor that does have a position on back that could be used for Chum, but we do not get to drive this version. We need a mod for that with Chum in the back.

The Interceptor was built for speed, not combat, ever see Mad Max 2? when he kicks in the supercharger and ram,s that car in front of him? the front bumper is broken off, and it wasn't that hard a hit.

That would be great.
also good to see another Nack the Weasel fan.

well since the "original" interceptor built for theoriginal madmax movie was just an XC falcon 2door with fibre glass panels put on it ramming is definately not something it was built for. that whole style with the squared off headlights and sloped front was known i think you'll find as a "monza" front and was kind of popular transformation done on cars in the 70's. hence why it was used in the movie in the first place. ie it was cheap and easy to find. you need to remember the budget on coke for the latest movie was probably higher then the whole budget for the original film

if you are about to get rammed in the side, hold the middle mouse button and the ad keys, it stops damage from the sides, im able to get nearly no damage in the interceptor, but then again i dont ram head on i usually let them chase slap the brakes then get them from behind
