Chums buggy only vehicle compatible for dog ???

Hey there, im trying to do all mine clearing missions one after the other.
now that i cleared 6 to 7 lands with minefields, im wondering, is it possible to upgrade Chums buggy,

or are there any other vehicles later on that also allows the dog to be on the backside, but hopefully something with a bit more armor ?

I really love driving around with Dinki Di, but chums buggy really sucks !!!

Since all vehicles have enough room for Chumbucket, i was really hoping for an upgradeable Dog Cage on every vehicle...

but it seems im gonna be stuck with Chumbucket as my Pet Dog forever.....

Far as I know, the Buggy is the only way to disarm mines, I save mine clearing for when I need som shotty ammo, otherwise it goes to waste on a full amoo belt, or you can mark the mines and get warboys and buzzards and roadkill to "disarm" them for you. There is a glitch where the dog barks but no mines are there, had this happen at a clue location, though I already looted the place, and again in a live minefield. One possible work around is while the dark is barking like crazy, hop in/out of another vehicle if around, that caused the invisible mine to appear.

The mines were the worst part, they separated the dog into another car to extend the play time.

i often also have persuers behind me in vehicles, when i enter the mine field they stop chasing or try to go Around the minefield, when i stop in the middle of the minefield, if close enough they will get out of their vehicles to fight melee.

I also had that encounter with the dog, i forgot wich area exactly but it was a very swampy area, with an tiny boat in the middle wich is mostly underground, with some lootable stuff there, however the dog is not barking at the boat, but something else nearby, but nothing can be found.

Could be a bug, the dog was barking to Gutgash's hideout once, even after I disarmed all of the mines.

It may be something you already found and looted on your own, I never tried looking for places like that with the dog, I prefer to be in the Opus as much as possible.

I had no problem with the mines except having to search for fields that did shown on my Map.Taking care of persuers is were plan B comes in. Drive to a hilly area close by and get out and walk to were they can not drive.Just stand there.they will get out and come after you.Then is your chance to Kick there B - -.Plan C. Destory there rides and collect the scrap.

That would have been cool if you were able to have Dinki Di sit in the Magnum Opus. Maybe in DLC Dinki Di is able to attack enemies? I'm probably asking for too much, this isn't Fallout 4. :)

Dunno what are you talking about. Buggy is fast, agile. And you can always shoot has tanks/tires of enemies. If u defusing mines, I have ammo, right. And if you need, you can call chum with opus, and wreck enemies this way. Then return to buggy and continue.

I just used the magnums opus and did donuts in the minefields. lol Blow up mine. Get out and let chum fix it. Rinse and repeat.

What I recommend you to do is only go for the minefields after you've cleared everything else in the area.
A bit of a chore, yes, but doable
