can't open map!

i have been playing for 18h and now when i boot up the game i cant open the map with "tap" key

and ofc there is no where to change it not even in the .ini file

and before you start yes i can still alt-tap out!

i just got the map back after finishing the q rim dim's somthing where you track down a conwoy and get a huud thing!

Had the same problem. It seems to resolve itself whenever you complete a mission / Clear a stronghold etc.

cant access map on certain missions, so you cant fast travel and leave the mission area

hmm. Maybe it helps when u switch from fullscreen to borderless screen and back or in some strange cases games need vsync active. Sometimes they dont like sli/crossfire, too

after all i can find it is a bug in the rim dim's somhing q when your on that q you can't open the map whitch is fine but the problem is the q is ment as a ster q but if you ar like me you like to explore and there for a the bug, the game atuo switsh to the q and to map was gone!

got this bug for the 1st time yesterday, and through trial & error, I managed to get the map to show up again after i battled it out with some roadies. it seems that one activity or another will trigger the map to show up again so just keep trying until it's fixed.

Samething happened to me this morning, everything worked fine last night before I quit playing but this morning when I launched the game I couldn't get the map to appear. Nothing changed in game and the Tab key on my keyboard and the Back button on my Xbox controller worked outside of the game, the only thing that changed was a Windows update that I didn't install yesterday.

It did start working again after I talked to Griffa though.

I just came to the forums to say the same thing. I'm playing with a 360 controller and select doesn't bring up the map anymore, but it was working just yesterday.

Two other bugs while I'm at it. If anyone else has experienced these, please reply with a comment of some sort.

Firstly, random sections of the HUD UI disappear while playing the game: ammo count and looted scrap (I had this yesterday).

Second, there's a very specific Scarecrow on a highway over-pass that disappears whenever I get close to it. I even modified my car for speed, boosted up onto the section it was located on and it still disappeared whenever I got within range. I tried thunderpoons, the harpoon, the flame burners, and even the shotgun. I won't reach 100% completion without it.
