How to pass that stupid race in gastown,

This game ends for me in a stupid race in gastown, realy irritating.
That race was the sign for me to delete the game.

Is the race improved, or can i go around?

You cant since its the storyline, quite easy really you haave repair vapors each turn that makes you full health again. I didnt know about that before and it made it much more easyer. And you can cath up to him real fast evenb shoot it right at the start for 1 easy shot

Just use a fast car with little armor and use pit-stops - places with white paint that repair you.
And of course you need to drive well without bumping into everything.

Yeah, they're not imperative, but it's a peculiar feature not seen anywhere else in the game :)

Have you tried shooting the boss until he dies? Even without the last two upgrades for thunderpoon it took like 5-6 shots for me to kill him. Just ignore the other cars and you can finish the race in half a lap.

Not sure if upgrades for poon are actually active in that race, i've done it on a completely stock car, i have even degraded components that were required by the story to unlock that mission. Didn't notice much damage difference.

Ha. Well geuss I did it all wrong. Went in with all my travelling upgrades and did practically the whole race on fire beginning moments after the starting line, and spent most the race sitting there going. "Oh please No." every five seconds as I dodged everything

Yeah, i think first time when i did that race it required me 5 or so tries and changing car parts. But now it's really easy with any build, except if too slow due to armor.
