Honestly, GOG is just a better service than Steam is, and that's where I buy pretty much all my games now.
Anyways, appreciate the release, Warner Bros. This was an insta-buy, just like when you released all the Batman games on GOG.
I will continue to do that in the future. Hopefully you'll have Shadow of War coming out sometime this year also.
And yes, the Battle Brand is unlocked, making the GOG version the most complete one, unless the Origin version was updated somewhen since last I checked it.
(Probably a small change in the exe?)
I use and like them both, albeit for different reasons.
GOG really doesn't have as many features as Steam - i.e. Big Picture Mode; Steam Link via my Samsung TV; screen-shot taking & uploading; and other stuff that's on Steam just seems to be lacking over there or not there at all.
But, GOG gives you DRM-FREE installer files; DRM-FREE games; and that optional (in many instances) GOG Galaxy Launcher that is trying to be universal (similar to say PlayNite). I can always get behind getting games to go DRM-FREE, as long as they stick w/ their principles & guns there.
I just wanted to try the windows 7 version (I bought it on feral store for linux).
But when I installed and launched the game my firewall went crazy because of denuvo. The way it works is dugusting. Game won't launch if you block it. And I blocked it of course, and uninstalled the game.
Then went on gog to purchase it again;
But denuvo attemps to hack my computer kept coming in from the deleted madman.exe file from steam. So denuvo is definitly a rootkit.
Some have debated and I have been excluded from steam discussions for a while because I kept saying denuvo is a rootkit. But it's just like the truth man, just like windows 10 is. (on top of being an adware, malware crapware and harassment platform.)
Sorry but we have enough of these. Just remove denuvo everywhere and DRM. No need for them to make sales. Just good programming is enough... Yes I bought the game twice, and twice to get rid of denuvo, because otherwise it is a good game.
