Death races

Can anyone let me know if there are tips that you could share that will help me to win Death races. On a pc it is very difficult to keep the car on the track. is there any cheats I could employ to win?

You don't have to cheat. Try to pick a different car. The fastest are not always the best.

Unless your doing a barrel dash, you do not have to follow the red track, though i always do as I get lost if I don't, but if you can get there faster, shotgunning problem compettitors tires is always a good way to pull ahead as well, plus they tend to cause bunch ups and keep other off your back.

Well first of all always look for shortcuts and/or jump ramps. Many of the races you can just follow the track if you wish, however there are a few that you WILL NOT beat if you do not use the shorcuts and/or jumps.

Are you having trouble with any Death Run or vehicle in particular, or all of them in general? I find it much easier when driving in first person as the car handles a lot better, but some cars, like the Speedsta's are difficult to see out of.

There more experience to get with driving each of the vehicles, ther better you will get tho.

Also some of the cars have their own built in boosts, Skullbuts and the Scrotus equivilent, this can help in tight spots.

perhaps do the races at the end of the game, because then you have 4 times boost and a the bigger motor (=more speed)
but the gastown race is a pain in the a** (try not to ragequit ;) )

shoot the tires off vehicles as you go. Hard as hell to get beat by cars that only have 3 wheels.

It's not just the other cars you have to beat, it''s also the "legendary" time limit. Sometimes it's faster to not kill the other cars but you will find that out for yourself :)

The gastown race can be quite simple with the right setup.

In some races at the very start you can go in a completely different direction and "straighten" the first curve, putting you so far ahead at the start they can never catch up. Sometimes it involves a cliff.
Go to the full screen map, click on the race "finish" icon and you have a green line route on your HUD map to follow and look for ramps and other shortcuts.
Have a good amount of shotgun ammo.
You have a loadbar on the HUD that shows if you're going to make "legendary" or not. If it looks like you're not going to make it just bail out and start again so you don't lose ammo.
