Castlevania: Symphony of the Night

Here's what we need: a remastered PC port of the The Dracula X Chronicles for PSP. That is a 3D remake of Rondo of Blood (possibly the best Castlevania game ever) and it has the original Symphony of the Night and Rondo of Blood included. Now that's a DEAL! :D

I'm playing it now using a great emulator that makes actually rendered 1080p resolution possible. It woud look amazing with high res textures and models:

What do you mean with "POSSIBLE". Chi no Rondo for the PC Engine just is the best (linear) Castlevania. Period.

I'd love to see any of 2D Castlevania's on PC in crisp HD.
It would probably sell like water in the desert. It boggles my mind as to why they have not taken the opportunity.

I'm creating a castlevania side scrolling 2d platformer like castlevania symphony of the night, I was going to remake it, but I might add all the castles from every game and outdoor exploration to reach towns as well as rooms you see in retro classics like castlevania 2.

Just a random site I made, testing, as it isn't easy to create such a project that I am doing.
Also I don't know if that site has enough bandwidth for alot, just testing alot of things, made that in about an hour, as I haven't made websites in years.

Some people have said over the past couple years that they don't want a 3d castlevania side scroller, although I had plans to make a 3d version like that, after I make the 2d side scrolling platformer version.

Yeah, I wouldn't mind SOTN brought to the PC, maybe even with a few minor enhancements that actually show that whoever's in charge has put in some effort to make sure it works right and does the game justice. I used to have the PS version, I have Dracula X Chronicles for the the PSP (and might consider buying the download version so I can play on my Vita, which gets more used these days than my PSP), while I haven't played the XBLA or Saturn versions.

Aside from SOTN, I'd agree with Rondo of Blood, SCIV and a few of the GBA games. As much as I enjoy Dragon's Crown, I'm not sure Vanillaware's art style should be applied to the games. It's beautifully done, but I'm not so sure it fits Castlevania. If its not left alone graphically, a decent 2.5D version with everything else intact would be nice.
