Visuals, Console VS PC...I need your input!
So i'm thinking about buying this (fantastic) game but knowing that i've already had a run through it on console a year or so back...I just can't pull myself towards spending 30 bucks on it just yet as I wanted to know if some things are true or not.
So this is more or less for people who have bought the game and played it on the console.
A main reason i'd go back through it again is of course to enjoy the game once again, another is to go through the DLC that was included in this edition also.
But (as shallow as it sounds, let's face it...we are PC gamers for god sakes...graphics DO make a difference sometimes!) I was wondering how the visuals stand up versus the console version? Is it really a big time upgrade?
Are there a decent amount of graphic tweaking options?
I played the demo, but some demos don't include all the tweaking options like the full version would.
The demo didn't really have me impressed too much, it honestly looked like the console version of the game, just a tiny bit cleaner.
This was kind of a let down seeing that they could have pushed this game a lot further with PC options geared towards people with higher end machines.
But like I said, it was just the Demo and you can't judge a game just on a few minutes of "non-final release" gameplay.

So i'd like to know what your guys (and gals) thoughts are on the final version?
Did they re-vamp the graphics as much as i've heard? Or is it essetionally just a port and that's it?

Also, don't complain about the controlls, I have a 360 pad i'll be using so that's not an issue with me :)

Difference between consoles and PC is higher resolution, better AA, and ambient occlusion (don't remember if console version had that). It still looks really good and it's great to see all the environments in 1080p.

The only things that would be an improvement are hgher resolutions and extremely high framerate. The Demo has the exact same options as the full game. Because this is still just a console port.

So you can still wait for a price drop. But it's upto you. Of course, this also has all the DLC in it already so maybe that's an incentive.

Yeah its exactly like the demo and something else to point out is that the cutscenes didn't get touched up on, they are still pre-rendered. I think it still looks great and plays a lot smoother at 60fps versus the 30fps that it runs on consoles.

Console versions didn't even run at 30 FPS. Most likely between 18 and 25. It was jitterish as ♥♥♥♥.

PC ALWAYS wins, I repeat ALWAYS wins.

I've always held my standards at a different level being a PC gamer as it is anyways, even since the late 80's and early 90's.
I still enjoy my PS3 and retro gaming systems, but really...nothing will ever, ever ever ever ever beat a good PC.
Did you know that Watchdogs, which is coming out for the Xbox One and PS4...still won't have nearly as many visual features/additions as the PC version will???!
I mean dude...I thought consoles were going next gen?! I guess PC gamers have been next gen since like 2008, hahahahahahaha.

I sort of agree with OP here. I've never played this before and just bought it 'cause it looked so damn pretty, and yeah, the game has fantastic art design and a great soundtrack as well, so it's a little saddening that it falters a bit on the fidelity side. I'm not complaining though, 'cause it runs really well for me despite running on only one CPU core (lolwat). I hear the controls are a little derpy for mouse/keyboard users, but I have a controller for titles like this so I'm all good.

The only legit complaint is the abysmal resolution/compression on the cutscenes. I'm guessing these were lifted straight from consoles, so they're what, 1280x720 or something? And they're lacking any form of AA and SSAO. Bottom line is the cutscenes look like a complete and total joke compared to the in-game engine which is a little frustrating.

Yeah batman Arkham Knight ... er wait.. No PC does not always win. Gamers win when the devs give a damn...

Play the right game on the right platform, Strategy Games, PC, platformers, console. Who cares about FPS. 30 is good enough.

also games are mostly written now a days for the playstation and xbox consoles and PC gets the port nearly every single time.
