Savegame Location

Hey,

does anybody know where the savegames are kept? I have to delete mine manually because the installation apparently used the ones left over by the uninstalled demo. So now I can't play from the beginning and I only briefly played the demo while skipping all the dialogue and story stuff (Why does there no "New Game" option exist? -.-).

Any help would be much appreciated.

\Steam\userdata\11773848\234080 - I deleted the entire folder but I'm not sure if thats overboard.

I switched off the cloud saving and deleted that folder to start afresh. Then replaced the cloud file another time.

Removing the profile was enough. It's not necessary to touch the config file. Before you do this, turn off steam cloud save for this game. Then start it, and play a bit. When you exit the game, re-enable cloud sync. The next time you start the game, it will show a file conflict. Then choose to upload your local, newer, save file to the steam cloud.

Thanks for this one! I got myself a XBOX controller and I was stuck at that 1st werewolf boss. Kinda hard to fight it when I don't know how to play with the controller yet :p

Castlevania LoS' save files

castlevania.cfg and
castlevania.profile

are located at:

Steam\userdata\[user#*]\234080\remote
* While I'm not 100% certain, I believe that number may vary between users.

If you remove castlevania.profile you lose your progress and can start a new game. I think castlevania.cfg saves your system settings. (graphics, sound, etc...)
