Castlevania: Lords of Shadow - Ultimate Edition

New timeline
we all know that this game is a reboot of the timeline and sense los 2 is coming out soon i was wondering what the timeline is the trailers for los 2 make it look like a sequel but then i saw the mirror of fate trailers. So is the timeline los, mirror of fate, then los 2, or is it los, los 2, then mirror of fate?

well alright then.

Lords of shadow starts the series off with the first belmont in the belmont line, gabriel belmont during his time with the brotherhood of light.
his wife died, and he's out for revenge against the lords of shadow, but he soon finds that he can bring his wife back to life through the power they have, so off he goes, merrily slaughtering his way across the world, through the ancient ruins of a long dead city, castlevania itself, and then finally to the land of the dead.
there he finds out that he'd been manipulated into doing terrible things and is slain, but he's returned to life by the souls of the dead trapped there,it's here that he finds out that the main antagonist is noneother than satan, who wants the power of the three dark lords for himself and came up with a grand scheme to get it.
gabriel kills satan and is then summoned by a vampire to stop a demon so powerful that there's honestly no way to fight it save for while it's trying to break its way out of its prison.
and the only way to get into its prison is to become a vampire, the living simply can't enter.
accepting his fate and knowing that refusal is the destruction of the world, he kills the vampire by drinking all her blood, goes in, goes mad from all he's lost and starts calling himself dracul upon taking the demon's power for himself, he reenters the world looking for something to kill.

mirror of fate, turns out that gabriel had a son, who was promptly hidden away while he was off crusading because the brotherhood knew he was going to become dracula.
his wife cooperated reluctantly and trevor belmont was raised in secret by the brotherhood for the sole purpose of fighting and defeating dracula, who had returned by the time he was a boy and was now lording over all the monsters under the assumption that he'd lost everything he could possibly lose and now only wanted revenge on the world for putting him through all this.
despite this fact, when he and trevor meet and fight for the first time, he's quite amicable and tries to convince him of the brotherhood's treachery, seeing his younger self in the belmont, who doesn't actually tell him who he is, nor is he aware of it.
when trevor presses dracula for combat he decides to fight him with his full strength, and the two duel in a battle mirroring gabriel's fight with satan.
finally dracula proves victorious and impales trevor through the heart with his own combat cross, standing over him with a smug grin over his face trevor informs him of his parentage and proves it through the mirror of fate before finally dying.

Dracula was livid to say the least, he panics and runs over to trevor, attempting to revive him with his own blood and undo the damage to the last remaining thing in the world he has a reason to care about. the effort seems to fail, so dracula gives his son a burial and, since he doesn't actually know his son's name, he decides to write "son of the dragon" in reverse on his coffin and leaves him in the mirror room after dressing him in proper funeral attire.
Trevor's son gets to witness dracula's wrath firsthand, as he retaliates in only the most venomous sort of fury, now assuming that he truly has lost everything he sends his legions to go out and destroy anything even remotely resembling a brotherhood garrison, which to a pack of hungry werewolves basically means humans omnomnomnom.
simon's mother dies trying to protect him and he disappears in the forest, is raised by wallachan barbarians and eventually plans out his vengeance.
he returns to castlevania, not because anyone needs saving, but because dracula needs to be put down once and for all. most towns in the immediate vicinity are now ghost towns filled with zombies, etc, etc.

simon fights his way through the castle while alucard wakes up and obtains his own combat cross parody to fight the monsters with. he resolves to finish what he started, now a vampire and very, very depressed.
the two meet up in dracula's throne room with dracula trying to convince his son to join him, this is of course, AFTER the trap dracula laid for simon in the form of a succubus backfires and he loses his entertainment with one jab of the combat cross.
alucard vehemently rejects his father's offer and dracula, unwilling to go all out against family for a second time, resorts to just using his blood whip and finds himself overpowered by simon and alucard.
vanishing in a flash of red energy, alucard sees right through the ruse and returns to the mirror room to prepare for dracula's return, grabbing the stake attachment to his father's old combat cross and leaving as the castle collapses.
simon bids alucard farewell, not really knowing his connection to dracula or alucard, and the belmont line is pretty much set to stand up to dracula every 100 years with alucard's assistance.
as for alucard, he fashions the stake into the hilt of a REALLY big sword and prepares for the coming battle.
also, dracula gets depressed and wants to be brought back to life by the time lords of shadow 2 comes in.
and that's the current history of the lords of shadow timeline.
Moral of this TL;DR
dracula is a very clumsy family man.
But the LoS trilogy make a big mistake. So Alucard is Trevor? So why, in Castlevania III (NES), you can have Alucard as an ally, when you have Trevor in main character? (that might be a timey wimey wibbly wobbly stuff)
