Castlevania: Lords of Shadow - Ultimate Edition

Vezi statistici:
Theory about the plot of lords of shadow 2
(spoilers)
Okay, so i've seen footage of a young kid who's rumored to be trevor, then of a pre-vampirized carmilla.
then dracul's castle, which appears to be in moderately pristine shape a lot of the time, and clearly has him fighting servants who recognize him for who he is as though they only saw him the previous day.

this coupled with the exceedingly strange events of Los1, where gabriel belmont killed the apparition of his wife and then claudia leads me to believe that there might be a sort of time travel plot involved.
now before any of you call ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, allow me to explain the presence of time travel in castlevania.
now in curse of darkness, (not part of this canon, but relevant) st germain was revealed to be a time traveler, then later in that god awful fighting game there was aeon, yet another time traveler.
in sotn, a demon vying for control over dracula's throne, galamoth actually traveled back in time to his castle, where he was dealt with by alucard and is the hardest boss in the entire game.

now in lords of shadow 1, gabriel belmont actually has to go back in time by an undisclosed amount to even access the prison of the forgotten one, it was only enough time reversed to repair damages done to the tower, but that alone might have been substantial in its own right.
well, shortly after that in mirror of fate, it's revealed that frankenstein, the man who created the time traveling clock in reverie also worked with time magic beforehand, this research was later succeeded by the toy maker, who made the stopwatch used by alucard.
finally, we get to the clock outside of dracul's tower, the clock is being installed, and it apparently has 24 numbers, not 12, this has been theorized by others who played the game to be linked to time travel, which makes sense, if gabriel could go back in time to undo the wrongs of his past, he probably would, and given how he used time travel once before, it's not impossible to think that he might be researching a means to do so once again, this time to prevent the evil he turned into from happening to begin with.

My theory is that dracula in los2 is falling victim to some sort of "butterfly effect" where instead of physically traveling back in time, his consciousness travels back in time to his body in the past, where he makes things worse for...some...reason.
we know why the present day dracula might have used his past self's body to kill his wife, he's ♥♥♥♥ed off at her for hiding his own child from him and letting him go to his doom.
but then....why claudia?
if he IS traveling back in time through his own body, it would explain the presence of young trevor in the castle, as dracula could have abducted the boy while he was still young and kept him in the castle, only to have it turn on dracula for showing weakness.
of course the castle could simply be turning on him because it knows the consciousness in dracul's body isn't his present day self, but rather his future self, a future self it doesn't want lording over it.
but...how does this explain carmilla then? dracula wasn't around during the time of the founders, and their crusades would be against monsters like him? correct?
however, if he did in fact travel so far back in time that he managed to find himself there during the time of the founders, maybe it was he who started the brotherhood founders on their journey, maybe they owed fealty to him to begin with and the promise of power and being one with god was all they really desired, and so when they later discovered gabriel belmont, each lord of shadow worked to test gabriel to ensure that he went down the dark path that led him to becoming dracula.
perhaps after the founders became all powerful spirits and dark lords, dracula vanished from the world and slept, or maybe the time magic expired, sending him right back into the future.
it should also be noted that the mirror of fate was in carmilla's room the entire time, and even david cox hinted at the idea that she knew what dracula was.
and who.

In closing, i'd like to remind all of you that this is just a theory, a very loose, poorly thought out theory with many instances of "what if" scenarios that quite frankly, could quite possibly happen.
i'd also like your opinion, so be sure to add your take down in the thread below.

But a scroll you finde before the clock states that time travel does not work that long before it expires. Also, Carmilla was furious when Frank invented the timemachine, if she wanted to cause a time loop, why would she react like that?

I think the castle is more or less the same as the older games. A living creature of chaos that takes the form of a castle. I also read in a preview something about the castle being angry at Gabriel and trying to break free from him. Maybe the images of young Trevor and Carmilla are shown to Gabriel by the castle as a form of torment, maybe he still feels guilty about their deaths? Maybe the castle shows Carmilla together with Laura (who was just not seen in the footage you saw) for the same reason.

BTW: Laura totally should appear in the game. A cute little vampire girl that shoots lightning like a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ sith lord is far too awesome to only appear in one game.

Well, as for the time loop thing, if carmilla wanted to preserve the time loop she was aware of, then having frankenstein make use of one would be the last thing she'd want.
but it's been confirmed already that these people in the castle aren't set in the past, which, admittedly, confuses me, but again, I never really believed my theory anyway, too full of holes.
in a recent article it showed that dracula wound up traveling to his castle by following an apparition of young trevor before obtaining his power and returning by following an evil spirit wolf.

My theory was just that, a loose theory.

Lords of shadow 2 is shaping up to be an incredibly dark game, I can't wait to NOM a family as the dark lord of all evil himself!
on a side note, it appears that they're going the route of aria of sorrow with dracula's castle, apparently it's going to be located within an isolated void of some sort or another.
