Need help with game!

On the third level in the game, Dead Bog, there is a part which requires you to steal some goblins' grenades, and throw them at a tree to uproot it. I figured this out on my own, but my guy doesn't make them drop their grenade, he instead pulls the pin and throws them back about twenty feet. I've tried every button I could think of, and nothing seems to just kill the goblin and get him to drop his grenade! In gameplay footage on youtube, the guy never does this weird thing mine does...so, yeah, I have no idea. I'm playing with a xbox 360 gamepad, btw. Any help would be very nice! :D

Got the same issue. I can grab a goblin, but no bomb is dropped therefore I'm stuck. Any Idea? Im using a keyboard with standard layout ("u" -> Grip/Use)

you have to run around and wait until they throw the grenade and dodge it, than pick it up and throw it before it explodes

After grabbing, holding a direction while pressing a button causes you to throw the goblin. You want to grab and press button without holding a direction to kill the goblin and make the grenade drop so you can pick it up.
