Blue magic is for defense, regaining your health back quickly with attacks like the corrosive chains, also it can deal some good area damage with the light arc cross, i forgot whats the name of that power but it works really good on ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ like vampires, werewolves and skeletons.
Ah, BTW the somersault is good when you fight big lonely enemies like trolls, but when you get surrounded (which is more likely to happen 95% of the time) better forget that and keep dodging.
Thanks so much man I really appreciate the help! I got corrosive chains but I haven't used it yet because none of the battles have been difficult enough where I have needed it but I'm glad I have it...will probably go for the light arc cross next like you said since I imagine I will be up against vampires and skeletons soon enough (I believe I'm about to fight the Crow Witch?).
Game has been really awesome so far, the intro to the boss fight with Cornell was ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ EPIC! Great voice acting and graphics.
Same here. The number of different special attacks and button combinations is overwhelming. I'm on Chapter 5 and still dodging and attacking with X and Y most of the time, with some basic light and shadow magic thrown in.
