I think you just start the chapter you want and you have all the upgrades.

Also I HIGHLY recommend the DLC. It is absolutely excellent.

I've read that the DLC is not very good!!

The DLC end boss is kinda frustrating, but the story itself was very nice.

Maybe if you delete the save file. I'm at the wrong PC now so I can't check it myself.

I felt this bothered me myself, at some point I want to replay the game but there's no actual new game option, I guess manually deleting the save at some point helps

Where is the save file located for this game?

yeah, I really want to get rid of this DLC crap. I dunno why the DLC is implemented in the game instead of making it optional within the games menu.
The DLC is just obsolete.

Reverie was really fun.
Resurrection was a really challanging.

IMO they are good contents. But it's a matter of perspective.

Thanks for the hint on the save file location !
I agree, Reverie was quite fun but the final jump and run sequences with water running and avoiding the blades were strictly annoying.
The forgotten one is just a PITA. First a sequence of QTE and the final boss fight is just too difficult.
Even the publisher mentioned, the DLC was rushed and regret the release.
I really would've appreciated they made the DLC optional and not mandatory.

Removing the files here does not allow a fresh start. I uninstalled the game --- and re-downloaded --- the game still starts at the same place as before --- where are the secret files hidden that I have to remove?

Considering the game has cloud save, I would recommend to delete the files on the location I mentioned above first.

Then start the Steam in offline mode, and play the game get to a check point where the game saves.

Exit the game and start Steam in online mode. It should be asking about replacing cloud save at this point.

GL.
