I just feel like it borrows a lot of gameplay elements from other games instead of trying to do its own thing.
But, I can't argue with Robert Carlyle, Patick Stewart, and Natascha McEllone doing voice work for the game, hell of a cast for a video game!
Patrick Stewart was a surprise, whom I recognized instantly when the game started. Enjoyed that part of it.
They did their best to emulate Shadows of the Colossus, which is by no means a bad thing to do (I believe shouting 'rip off' at first chance is highly unfair and unreasonable when discussing any kind of game design whatsoever), but the core aspect to the fights in that game revolves around the grip meter, which LOS does not have. No grip management = no challenge whatsoever. All you have to do is hop up the ledges and wail on the weak point 10 times each while occasionally scooting out of the way of its hand, or holding down the RT button (which gives you eons of time to react to).
The 2nd Titan battle also just wastes your time for most of it while you wait for the game to tell you what to do (something I found rather annoying for how the first half of the game is handled).
I'll agree with you that visually they are great looking bosses, but that's literally all they have going for themselves.
Goodluck with that.
This is not a FPS, a strategy game or something like that.
It's like saying that it's better to play a fighting or a racing game with a keyboard.
Also, there's absolutely nothing in this game that can't be done with keyboard and mouse. I know, I've whooped the Forgotten One's ass playing on KBM.
It's depressing, seriously.
I just beat the Ice Titan - pretty irritating . Now I can get back to the game.
