The game won't even start.

For some reason my LoS won't even run. I click the 'play' button, the sidebar says running and my portrait breifly turns green to indicate I'm playing a game... but then it just stops. No black screen, no error message, the game just stops running. I've tried uninstalling then reinstalling, verifying integrity of game cache, and scouring the forums for similar problems and I'm seriously at a loss. Any and all help appreciated.

try update Direct X,if you are using Windows 10 try run the game on compatibity mode for windowns 7.

I got the same bug for a few months. Tried compatibility, updating, reinstalling, manually installing all dependencies... Nothing worked for me but 2 weeks ago it started to work fine again. So, if everything fail, just try again one week later, it may work.

What are you computer specs, please ?

intel i5-4460 x4
16G RAM ddr3
ncidia gtx750 - 4G - DirectX 11

Did you try:
- Updating your drivers ?
- Updating Windows ?
- Installing the latest version of DirectX ?
- Tried Windows XP compatibilty mode ?

Also, from PCGamingWiki ( the first place any gamer should know ^_^ ):

The game doesn't seem to support a 30 Hz refresh rate.. Screen simply turns black or white, while still playing the audio in the background.

Hello guys. Am sorry but i've got the same problem. The game won't start but return no errors. It just won't start. I've already try to launch it with compatibility mode (windows 8 and 7 'cause am on 10 now)
I've already played this game and finished it last year when i was on windows 7. :'(

@DV5K I'm in the same boat as you bud. The game won't start and does an instant crash/process termination. I've been trying to figure it out and I'm waiting for Konami Support to get back to me about it and they're taking forever to respond. I think a lot of people are having the same issue and it's quite aggrivating that the game is having this issue for absolutly no reason at all.

You must have something in common about this problem. I'm currently on Win10 and the game works here...

@RedLion7420 I'm running a Dell Inspiron 15 with an Intel Core i3 @ 1.9 GHz, 8GB RAM, Intel HD Graphics 4400 graphics card, Windows 10 for my OS. The game worked perfectly before roughly a month or 2 ago and now it's not even starting I just tried to run it again and it's still giving me the same issue.

Hi. I'm running on an Intel Core i7 860 (an old one but still good :D) OC 3.6GHz, 2*4GB RAM, AMD 7970. As I said, i've already finished the game last year on this P.C but on Windows 7 (and i've already tried compatibility mode)
I've got the XBox 360's controller. I've already seen it can causes problem but i don't have the dll in the Castlevania folder since i've reinstalled it. ('cause i've tried to make a clear install after uninstalled it when i saw the game didn't work)

So am lost :'(

So I don't recommend Konami Support bcuz after the look at your dxdiag report, they come to the conclusion that your graphics card can't run it and that it's not compatible with Windows 10 even though the recommended OS is Windows 7 or higher.
