I just recommend it this way because I feel that'll give you the best building blocks for an amazing story, if that's what is important to you.
I do (retrospectively) agree with Zetsugan that LoS 1 then the Netflix series can make one great story though.
I just played it in UWS and it was amazing. I didn't like the second LOS for the one reason i play these games, Light vs Dark... If you're going to BE Dracula then what's the point? But if you don't care about details as much as myself then LOS 2 should be a great game! I have alot of respect for Mercury Steam as they created their own engine for these games.
