PS4 Controller with Lords Of Shadow

A while ago I used to play LoS with a generic USB Controller using the Xbox360CE program. However, now I am using the Dualshock 4, and even though I installed the DS4 Windows application in my PC and the controller responded in the desktop and mouse cursor, on the game itself it doesn't even recognize the controller as the command prompts still show keyboard buttons. Do I need to do an extra step to connect the controller and DS4W or is there a mistake?

Steam Big Picture Mode has a compability setting for PS4 gamepads + button mappings for specific games.
Could give that a try?
